When I was younger an older movie played on AMC. The beginning of the movie had a lady walking in a garden of flowers. She lives in an apartment and sees a person (I do not remember how they met) and they start talking and he starts to hypnotize her and record the conversations. I believe they fall in love at the end of the movie, but I could be mistaken. Growing up I always thought it was a Barbara Streisand movie, but none of the movies she is in seem to fit.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, this has haunted me for years!

Hi Penny. I think you are remembering correctly that Barbra Streisand starred in this movie. There was a movie she was in with Yves Montand in which he play a hynoptist and she has a knack for making flowers grow. He hypnotizes her and finds she has lived past lives.
