My best friend was dating thi guy and she kept cheating on him now its over. I began talking to him as I friend because I cared deeply about his feeling during this time in his life. I had been talking to him frequently an began to fall in love with him he has an awesome personality he is a great father he then out of the blue it all stopped One day I sent him a text and asked him what did I do he said he felt as though I was trying to get too close to him and he was not looking for a relationship. I need some kind advice as to whether I should leave him alone or continue trying to be his friend and she if there maybe something to build on.

Leave the guy alone, he has told you straight up he isn't looking for a relationship.
