I have an issue with my Saturn. I'll explain the best I can. When driving the car will sometimes lurch or jerk like its not getting the power or something this happens most frequently whilegoing up hill but it will sometimes do it on flat roads. This has been happing for a while now. The check engine came on so I took it to a shop and they hooked it up to the computer. It said the EGR valve was bad. So I replaced it $90.00 well it still does it. Does anyone have any suggestions.

Maybe they should have replaced the EGR Control Solenoid, not the EGR Valve.

If you have over 50,000 miles on your platinum plugs, I would replace them with the identical ACDelco plugs that came in the car. I would also change the fuel filter.

My bet is that you have a bad EGR control solenoid not the gm EGR valve (http://www.replacementgeneralparts.com/gm-egr-valve). My brother had some problems with the solenoid before, upon replacement, the problem was fixed. I would also suggest to check your spark plugs, fuel filter and fuel injectors.. they might as well needs a replacement. Good luck hope you'll figure it out.. :)
