View Full Version : Need a name for a character

Apr 16, 2005, 09:50 PM
If anyone can help please help soon! I'm writing a script and I need a character name.
She's a young girl around 15/16. Very pretty. She is very passionate and is ignorant of her extreme power. She is witty and full of fire....I was thinking something like Shea, or Kyri but they seemed to plain and didn't fit right. I like Daniela but it sounds to elegant.

Sounds crazy but I need a name.THANK YOU :)

Why not go through a baby names book and pick one that subscribes to the characteristics you're describing? It will look very clever to your readers too...

HI!
How about VICKY ?
Short for victory.
But can , maybe, raise some subconscious connotations of wicked - maybe for some kind of sound appearance?

Vertonia - my birth name. It means Vera: Means "faith" in Russian, also influenced by the Latin word verus "true"
and it surrounds Toni: Worthy of Praise or in masculine form Anthony meaning priceless, flourishing, flower.

My nicknames are Toni, V and Vera. I think last count there were only 2-3 people I could find with this name. There is also a castle Vertonia in Europe.

You are writing a script and writing things like "to plain" instead of "too plain" and "to elegant" instead of "too elegant"?

Where is the girl from? It would help to know that to be able to give her a name.

Sabrina the teenage witch? (just kidding.)Are these powers supernatural or are they given to her through some accident? Did she get them from Family or did she wish for them? These conditions should reflect in her name maybe? Calling girls by boys names that derive from their given names are something I've always liked... Jo from Joanne, sam from samantha and Al from Allison, there are othersit just needs thought.

No problem, Orphan! Sometimes in the heat of wanting to help people, we forget to notice some things.
