I recently installed ceramic tile in my bathroom. The toilet worked its way loose, I tried to tighten the bolt and it came out of the groove. So I pulled the toilet up and put the bolt back in I also replaced the wax ring. After reinstalling the toilet this happened again. So I decided to take it off again. This time the closet flange was broken on the opposite side. I think the closet flange was not installed in the right position. The groove that the bolt goes in is not to close to the position of the toilet. The top of the flange is level with the tile. With these problems could I just get an extender and attach it over the top of the flange after it has been glued back in place or is there a better solution. How do you attach the extender. I would appreciate any help with this matter. Thank You

You didn't mention what your pipe are made of but you can buy a closet repair flange kit (clam) in most home stores. This will give you pics of several types of installations. Closet Repair Flanges | Hat Creek Outfit (http://www.hatcreekoutfit.com/xcart/customer/home.php?cat=508)
