I have a very steep family room ceiling angle. I proceeded to install the fan and found out that the drop down bar does is not level due to the ceiling angle. Is there a special installation kit (hangar unit) for steeply angled ceilings?

Hampton Bay 60". I went to Home Depot but they do not have one that I can use. It is just a generic replacement for standard ceiling.

You should be able to look in the instruction manual and it should tell you how to install your fan on an angle.

You will have to try somewhere other than Home Depot. Most lighting showrooms will have them but they may be pricey. Menards and WalMart used to have them, I don't know if they still do. You can buy them online, for example:
