I honestly thought this was going to be a slam dunk and now I'm ridiculed amongst my peers. The wires coming from a pipe that is cemented in the ground are not your normal black white ground. There are 2 black and a green. Coming from the pump there are 2 red and 1 gray . The timer has indicated connections for neutral, load and I think the 3rd is line. To top it all off , it was working when I got there and when I tried my first configuration the breaker sparked and the pump made a real bad kind of electrical fryin kind of sound. I made sure the timer switch was in the off position. When I flipped the breaker on, the pump started . I immediately turned the pump to the on position thinking I don't know what which led me to the bad sound and ultimately here.:p :p
