I can't figure out what I should do to solve this question. So I think someone could help me! :)

"A man invests some money at 8 percent interest and twice as much at 6 percent. If the total income from the two investments is $250,how much is invested at the lower rate?"

This is a straight-forward algebra problem with 2 equations in 2 unknowns. The unknowns are:

A: the amount invested that pays 8%
B: the amount invested that pays 6%.

can you see how to set these 2 unknowns up into 2 equations?

Not really! :(
I'm still confused with what the two investments are going to be.
I don't know how to figure it out.

The man earns $250 consisting of 0.08*A plus 0.06*B, and the amount of B is twice the amount of A. Two equations in two unknowns. Solve for B.
