Now the systems telling me I have little disk space and to delete unused files but, when I try this it tells me I don't have enough disk space to perform the task. How big is the hard drive? If XP is telling you there is not enough space, then I'd believe it.

Under XP, you can run the Disk Cleanup program by typing "cleanmgr.exe" at the run prompt (no quotes of course).

This I think is the fastest way to do it. Backup all Emails, Word ducuments and any other necessary files you want to keep to another hardrive or Disk then place the Windows Xp or Windows Xp service Pack 2 CD into the computer and press F7 or F8 to start the CD and when you install it ( Not upgrade ) format the Drive with the Operating system on it. Warning formatting wipes everything on a drive. This is the most quick way to do it if there is and was a problem upgrading.

If this helped rate it

Cleanmgr.exe is a Windows program that will gather info on temp files, internet history, cookies, etc. and lets you delete them all at once.

A similar program you can use is the freeware ccleaner (http://www.ccleaner.com), which allows you to clean up unused items, orphaned files and registry keys, etc.
