Have a slippped # 3 and # 4 is degereritive, experience pain in neck and back of head with nubbness in right hand index and thumb. Some say I need to have titanium rods screwed between vertibra. Can anyone tell me more about this and expected recovery time. Have already had the injections to block pain several years ago

Have you actually consulted with a ortho who specializes in backs? Slipped discs are very painful are the blockers helping at all? Has your physician recommended any types of therapy to try prior to surgical intervention? If you could give some more detail it would really help. Hope to hear from you soon.

Sincerely,

If your pain is not getting better and it is interfering with your life than go to a orthopaedic who specializes in back ailments. Discuss all your options with him/her as they will be able to advise you in the best way. Let us know how it turns out and good luck.

Sincerely,

My aunt has been through this also and this has been many years ago. She sais that the pain never goes away! She has been through several shots and she takes pain medication and depression medication that helps pain and muscle relaxers and she has been to the doctors many times and the chiroprator and had acupunture. She suffers from disc pain and had surgery and also has fybromayalgia. She sais that the pain basically comes and goes but comes more than goes and she has been suffering for so many years. I wished that there was something that they could to for her...
