Hi
This is my fist time here and I really am looking for some advise.
In 1996 I bought a house on Vancouver Island. I moved to Ontario in 98 and left my house with a property manager.Things went downhill and they did not get great renters in ,and I told them to sell. The bank took the house back and resold it it November 99.
On Friday May 4 2007 (yes last Friday ) I get this court paper with a statement of account saying I owe 25,847.25.
The difference from the sale was 16,933.52 and the remainder was interest over 8 years. I have never HEARD ANYTHING in this time and had assumed the sale covered what was owning on the house. PLEASE HELP
Thx

Were you ever served and court paper before?

Whom did you tell to sell the property?

How did the bank get involved?

Did the bank foreclose on the property and did you ever get notice of the foreclosure?

The bank did foreclose. I was notified on their intention and At that time in my Life it was fine for me. I had exhausted the use of the property managerand I was in Ontario just getting by.

I did contact a Real Estate company and they were trying to sell. I was just not able to make the payments And the property management company did not have any renters in the house
