I have a problem with my washing machine. It will fill up with water but that is where it stops. I tried to turn the dial to the next process and it makes a buzzing sound (like it wants to start but can't?) It also turns a little -then stops as similar to a car trying to turn over but not enough juice? Can anyone give me some advice or any tips -the washer is not too old (6 years old).

It kind of sounds like the timer may be bad. I have you tried switching it to a different selection... like perm. Press or gentle wash, just to see if it goes past the fill cycle?

I did, and it will not do anything other than -start to crank (buzzing sound) like it wants to start and the house electricity even dims every time I try a new cycle?? Wired? I tried a different outlet and no dice. Thanks though...

Hmmm, it almost sounds like the motor may be locked up or shorted.
