Wakened by something that flipped my dangly ear ring. There was a white, misty cloud floating about four feet off the ground and about three feet from me. I just stared at it wondering what it was. After about one minute it moved off to the right and disappeared. Do you think this was a spirit?

A prison I worked at had a cloud that would suddenly appear floating past people as they walked around at night. Once, at about 3 or 4 AM, I was driving around the out side of the prison very slow, when it just came sailing right in front of my pick up. It was about six foot in diameter and I felt it had intelligence because it slowed to a crawl when it went in front of the wind shield. Many people reported it but of course it wasn't taken seriously. I believe you saw it but I can't tell you what they are. I don't believe it is to be feared though.

I've heard these are called Ectoplasms.
