1. How do I locate the property title owned by Wilma Abraham, deceased 2005, property sold in 2004, property locacted at 190 E.Rcokaway Rd, Hewlett, NY?
2. Specifically, how do I find out what company was the insurer of the property?
Thanks,
L.A.

Hello l:
Why don't you tell us what happened and what you're trying to do. I think you may be taking the wrong approach. Property isn't vested in "titles", so there's nothing to find. Even if you did an abstract search at the county courthouse, it will only tell you who has owned the property since they started keeping records.
I just don't think you'll ever find out who insured the property from public records. You might try a private investigator.

Most deeds have the title company name and escrow number on them. You should be able to contact the county for a deed. Also you could contact a title company and they should be able to look at the chain of title and determine who insured it.

Well the deed ( title) can be viewed at the county courthouse for Hewlett NY, you can merely go to the courthouse and review all of the deeds. On that property. If you do not live in that area, you can hire a title company or a court records research company to do the research for you.
The property insurance company will be another issue, if there was a mortgage on the property, you can see it in the deed records, so you can then contact the past mortgage company and they will have a record of what insurance company was used.
If there is no mortgage, there will be no records of who the insurance company is besides in the personal records of the owner. So ifyou want to find out who insured the dead persons property, you can talk to the person who was over their estate, they would have went though the personal records, handled the probate and the such.
