I have 2 bathrooms only separated by a wall. It is on a slab. Now when we run either shower the water comes up from the floor between the floor and wall. It is like a flood. I thought it was the connection between the shower head and wall that I need to recaulk it. But in one shower we have a hand held and even using that and not splashing any water on that side of the shower the water still seeps through. Please HELP! I do not want to be taken advantage of if I need to call a plumber. :(

Hi Lorrie,

The first you must do is locate the source of the leak. Pressure or drainage. I opt for a drainage leak. If it were a lesk in one of the shower valves you would notice it on only one shower. You say both are affected so that puts it in the drains. What type of showers do you have? Custom tile or manufactured base and enclosure? Is there any way you could open up t6he wall to see where the water's coming from? Let me know. Good luck, Tom
