:o Hey guys,
I recently decided I wanted to get pregnant I quit my birth control almost two months ago. I started my period on April 11th and after it was over I had sex on the 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, 24th, 26th, 27th, and the 29th; what are my chances of being pregnant?

While it is ALWAYS possible to get pregnant when having sex, protected or not, your chances may be just a little on the slim side.

Reason being, you have not been off your birth control very long and the other reason is that you are having sex WAY too often. Sperm needs time to regenerate in a man.

You see, us women are born with a specific number of eggs in our bodies, that number NEVER changes. Now with men, that is different. Their sperm number decreases with each ejaculation and requires 24 - 48 hours to reproduce in numbers.

If you are trying to become pregnant it is best to have sex every other day or every third day to increase your chances of conception.

Huuuummmm, my docter said otherwise(everyday is fine) but I'll keep that in mind. Do you really think 2 months off because could keep me from being pregnant?

It may or may not. I got pregnant twice while ON the pill, never missed a day or minute. So it may not keep you from being pregnant.

Your doctor may have told you otherwise, I am just going by texts that suggest this as an average, it may not apply to every person in every situation.

You see, without a complete history and physical examination I can only recommend averages.

We are told by our gynecologists that it can take some time after stopping birth control, to become pregnant. Because every woman's body is so different, it is anyone's guess. I got pregnant the month after I stopped taking my birth control pills and I had been on them for 6 years! So you never know... good luck!

Honey,

Take it from someone who has been trying to get pregnant since November of 06. You may be doing everything right, but that does not mean that it is going to work. It takes time and patience to get pregnant. Especially if you have been on birth control in the past.

Hun, how old are you and how long have you been trying?

You do know that actively trying makes it harder to get pregnant, don't you? With all the stress involved.
