My husband owned a business for almost 5 yrs. Before he bought the business all the credit cards we had was joint cards and to buy the business he took money out many of them and over the last few months he hadn't paid many of them. I just didn't pay attention to it before but we closed down the buisnees last week and I realized he hadn't paid so many and if he did it was with late charges and everything. Its just too messy and tiring to mention it even. So, now everyone is after us, the problem is I was n't even aware of most of them. I just signed the papers he wanted me to sign. Yes, I know I have been very stupid. Our marriage has been rocky for a long time, one day happy and 6 days fighting way before I found out about all these debts.
My problem is I'm responsible for the things he is done and & will have to pay for it probably rest of my life. I want a divorce as I wanted it year before and a year before but now more than ever.
Can I file for divorce & bankruptcy at the same time? I have to take care of my two kids who's stuck in this misery. We do not have any income and all we own is a house(we can't refinance it either) and one $2000 worth van and a suv which we owe about $3000.
Now I am cleaning up most of his messes and selling our household things and few buisnees things to buy food since he seem to be waiting for his dream job.
I don't know how to come after this because people are calling me for their money and he is scared and waiting for me to fix it all for him so then he can abandon us again.
Please help, I count on you for some advice. Oh, and yes I have a lawyer but he thinks we are both filing bankruptcy together but I do not want pay for his messes because I wouldn't have enough to take care of two kids and live.

Yes I have asked and begged him to go marriage counseling but he doesn't believe in it. I want a divorce because he has internet porn and other similar probs.
