I'm writing my dissertation and will like to concentrate on issues on 'retention of talents in a highly conpetitive environments'. What are the things to consider while trying to make such objectives work? Thanks.

Rewards for workers based not so much upon performance but loyalty and helpfulness to a firm. This would be in addition to awards for performance.

Find out all the skills that individual employees have concerning how they can best benefit the workplace and not just on those skills that cause the environment to be so competitive.

Concentrate on the workplace being a "team" environment where the workplace does not function as well without the work or imput of the whole workforce. Working as one to achieve a mutual goal.

Just a few ideas that I hope might be helpful.

Yes for to many companies in today's society has no loyality to its workers,
Which of course merely means its employees have no reason to feel any concerm back. And rewarding at a above average pay and benefit for the industry.
