There are some "personal" loans that have lists or clauses of personal property used to secure the loan. My fiend did one of these a few months ago, they listed their riding lawn mower, guns and other property as needed ( or some such wording)
So if they don't pay and they get a judgement, then the court would send officers out to allow the debtor to get this property.

In many areas the sheriff's dept is not like the police. They are used as process servers and collectors. So, if someone gets a judgement they get the sheriff's to seize assets and/or property. However, in some areas personal belongings are exempt from collection for unsecured debt. Also most creditors don't want to bother with having to sell such things.
