I have a problem similar to that of Pasko's. The following lists the keys typed vs. displayed (all the affected keys are on the right side of the keyboard)

Typed displayed
0 'zero' /
U 4
I 5
O 6
P *
[ 'carriage return'
J 1
K 2
L 3
; -
M 0 'zero'
/ +

I have followed advice from two previous threads: I've checked the "Regional and Language Options" and have searched for an updated driver. The "Regional and Language Options" all seemed correct. The search for an updated driver (including the windows website) resulted in no drivers newer than the one installed (Standard 101/102-Key or Microsoft Natural PS/2 Keyboard). I tried uninstalling then reinstalling the driver to no avail.

Any info/help would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Chris

Try plugging in an external keyboard. If it works then I would guess the laptop keyboard may be damaged / malfunctioned...

Turn off your number lock!

On a laptop, the numlock changes the keys on the right side to emulate a standard keypad. To turn it off varies from laptop to laptop, but it is probably a function (fn) key combo. Look for a key that says NumLk or something similar. If you can list the make/model of your laptop, I can probably locate specific instructions.

Thanks Northwind_Dagas and HVAC888. The numlock key was the culprit.
