View Full Version : New parts car keeps dying

Hi it's me again,I replaced the relay with a new one ,started the car and as soon as it warmed up it died.so my guess it wasn't that ,I also replaced the distributor 3 times new coil,reset the ecu and it still said code 15(ignition out put signal.what else could it be,I am going crazy spending money on this thing.

Replace the igniter. Many people on this site have had problems with aftermarket distributors, however. My recommendation is to use a Honda housing. I'm virtually certain your problem is a bad igniter. Here's how to do it:

I figured it out.it so happens it wasn't the igniter or any thing in replacing parts and I found it by accident,the first wire on the igniter to the left when looking directly at it,the clip that connects to first prong on the igniter came loose and reclamped it and she restarted and ran fine until it got a little hot and died.the heat keeps expanding causing it to lose spark reclamped it fired right up.so before any one else has this problem try this method before replacing parts and thanks for all your help..

Make sure you coated the back of the igniter and each male connector with silicone grease, to help dissipate heat. Be sure and slightly crimp each female connector with a pair of pliers.
