To make a long story short, I am in the process of a divorce and my husband and I are awaiting the final divorce hearing. Presently, my temporary divorce papers states that I can keep my house (which is mine to begin with). Also. I am responsible for all payments, taxes and general upkeep of the home. However, I have found out that my husband can be made to pay the mortagage on the house. Is it too late to have the prior decision reversed?

If your divorce is not final, then I would suggest that things can probably still be worked out as to what is in the final divorce decree. I would speak with your attorney as to final stipulations in your divorce decree. Temporary divorce papers are just that, temporary. However, I am not an attorney, nor am I legal expert. And, I don't know the laws concerning such things where you live. But, I have been through a divorce where there were temporary orders and then a final decree and settlements to issues that needed some final decision in a divorce.
