Yes me and my ex-wife fought it out in court for custody of my 11 yr old daughter I was awarded joint custody and only 5 months after our divorce and 4000 dollars later she abused my dauhter nothing major just pulled her hair and twisted her arm. But was enough for me to go ballistic. Once I confronted her with it she said well she can come live with you so now my daughtr lives with me and her mom met a guy on the internet and has remarried now she has moved to another state and never calls my daughter or wants to drive to come and get her she says if she comes and picks her up I would have to drive over 112 miles to come and get her. Now my daughter doesn't like her new husband is afraid to go visit her mom what are my options and can I still collect child support if my daughter doesn't feel safe in visiting her mom

Yes I believe you can collect if its court ordered, whether she takes advantage of visitation or not. See you lawyer or child support enforcement at your court to be sure of rights and options. Moving out of state doesn't change any court orders. Talk to officials to be sure.

If your daughter doesn't feel safe visiting her mom (and it sounds like a reasonable fear) then why don't you try to arrange supervised visitations? At least that way you are trying to accommodate visitations while keeping your daughter safe.
Regardless, child support is a separate thing to visitation. Nobody can legally stop child support because they aren't being granted visitation... but they do! They won't win if/when it goes to court, but in the meantime the parent with custody goes without the money.
You are not denying visitations, but they may have to change. Don't forget, the older children get, the more extracurricular activities and friends they have which can interfere in visitations as well. Why don't you request a free 1/2 hr. consult with a family lawyer and get some specific advice and alternatives?
Good luck and I hope this helps...
