Hey guys,
I had fuel leaking out of one of the outlet pipes on the carbi on my 1998 yamaha yz80, I was told by the guys at the store that I needed to replace the needle and seat to fix the problem, I have ordered in the replacement part from yamaha and am waiting for it to come in but I would like to do the job myself, but being not very experienced in this area I am seeking help as to how to do it (has anyone here done it before/is it a relitively easy job to do etc etc), also I do not have a workshop manual for the bike.

Any help would be greatly appreicated,

Cheers,
Ben

Could you please elaberate on that and if possible some pictures, I took the top off and there's the spring attached to the throttle assembly, I'm assuming that the part at the very top of the carb is the needle/seat but how do I get that out? I put the carbi back in the bike but now the screw has come right up and there is no throttle response.

Any ideas?

Any help would be extremely appreciated

Cheers,
Ben
