I would appreciate anyone's help in learning the name of the vocalist and/or Christian Album of which I can locate the song and lyrics entitled Allelu or Hallelu. The first time I heard it was in 2006. It is sung by a male and the lyrics are a repetitious chant of sort. The tune is absolutely beautiful and calming.

Hope someone out there can help me!

One question that I have for you is, are you sure that the words were Allelu or Hallelu, and not Alleluia or Halleluia?

One of the following may be the song.

Higher Praise (http://www.higherpraise.com/Lyrics4/HalleluHallelu.htm)

This one is in the public domain, so it could be anyone singing it. It can be sung fast or slow.
Hallelu, Hallelu
E A
Hallelu, hallelu, hallelu, hallelujah:
E B7 E
Praise ye the Lord!
E A
Hallelu, hallelu, hallelu, hallelujah:
E B7 E
Praise ye the Lord

E B7
Praise ye the Lord, Hallelujah:
B7 E
Praise ye the Lord, Hallelujah:
E A
Praise ye the Lord, Hallelujah:
B7 E
Praise ye the Lord.

Here is the same song with some music that you can listen to. Remember that the song can be sung fast or slow.

Praise Ye The Lord, Hallelujah! - MIDI and Lyrics - Children's Hymns - Bible Study Charts.com - Free MIDI Hymns (http://www.biblestudycharts.com/CH_Praise_Ye_The_Lord.html)

Below is the link to another possibility. Maybe with a little more potential to be calming.

Kurt Carr - We Offer You Praise Lyrics (http://www.sweetslyrics.com/355084.Kurt%20Carr%20-%20We%20Offer%20You%20Praise.html)

The part of a clip that I heard on the following site seemed to have potential also. But, I didn't finish listening because I am on a the internet via a telephone line and it was taking too long to connect to the site.

Being that you've heard it fairly recently and said it's "beautiful and calming," I wouldn't think it would be the one in the previous post. Try "Agnus Dei" by Michael W. Smith. You can hear part of it at amazon.com

Alleluia alleluia
For our Lord God Almighty reigns
Alleluia alleluia
For our Lord God Almighty reigns
Alleluia holy
Holy are You Lord God Almighty
Worthy is the Lamb
Worthy is the Lamb
You are holy
Holy are You Lord God Almighty
Worthy is the Lamb
Worthy is the Lamb amen

Hey, I realize this is a pretty old thread but I'm guessing the song is as follows

Allelu! Allelu!

Chorus:
Allelu! Allelu!
Everybody sing Allelu
For the Lord has risen it is true
Everybody sing allelu

# 1) Christ was born in Bethlehem,
# Allelu! Allelu!
# So that man could live again,
# Alleluia! (chorus)

# 2) Thirty years He walked this land.
# Allelu! Allelu!
# And indeed he lent his hand.
# Alleluia! (chorus)

# 3) On the Hardwood of the Cross,
# Allelu! Allelu!
# He suffered and He died for us,
# Alleluia! (chorus)

# 4) On the Third Day He did rise,
# Allelu! Allelu!
# Now He lives, no more to die,
# Alleluia! (chorus) .

It's a quicker paced song but it's a goodie

Just so everyone knows who continues to post on this thread...

It's now very old and archived. So, it's not generally visible, unless someone happens to visit this forum topic area, or is notified that there's activity on it because they've already posted on the thread.

If you have a new question, it would be best if you would start a new thread so that your question will be noticed the most.

Thanks!
