Hi. I am 41 and have been suffering from almost debilitating foot pain on the right side of my right foot, up high near th pinkie toe. I've been a relatively avid speedwalker over the years, and even when I've hurt myself in the past, I've never experienced anything like this before.
I noticed someone mentioned a similar issue very recently in a note. I've been to a podiatrist and he x-ray'd it; nothing unusual showed up on the films. My general practictioner said it felt swollen and strongly suggested an MRI, which I had today. In the meantime, I cannot walk correctly (putting weight on it is incredibly painful) and I really don't know what I did to it. It's been coming on for a while, but over the last 4 weeks, it's been especially bad. Some days, it's worse, but the real problem is walking on it. The podiatrist tried taping my foot, but it didn't really help.
Help! :(
