Hi my computer is detecting a "Video Controller (VGA Compatible). The thing is the only thing connected to my computer through VGA connection is my monitor. I tried uninstalling is and restarted my computer and it still detects it somehow. I recently found a trojan and got rid of that. (it had caused my task manager to disappear, but now that I deleted it it's back.) Anyway I was wondering if anyone knew anthing about what might be wrong.
THanks.
Nickair.

Are you using a external video card on a system with integrated video?
If you've recently reset or updated your system's BIOS, it might be that the integrated video is now enabled and being detected by Windows.

I think you are right I remember changing the BIOS when installing windows XP, to boot from the disk. Then I tried to put it back to what it was and then it started giving me the found hardware message I stated above. I reset the default settings but it still gives me the message.

If you are using windows me or above, you actually can do a system restore to the last time your system was working properly.
