View Full Version : Possible toilet water in laundry?

We are having a problem during the rinse cycle while doing laundry. The toilet in the bath (located directly beside the laundry room) bubbles and foams up with soap. We are waiting for someone to check the vent on the roof, but in the meantime, we would like to take care of laundry. Any chance of sewer water getting in the wash?

Also, we have also noticed occasional soap bubbles at the base of some valves behind the washer. Any chance these two issues could be connected?

FYI-this particular toilet has always been a little slow, and the foaming behind the washer as well. We are not on a septic system.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Sounds Like Your Drains Are Backing Up When The Washer Pumps Out Water To Refill For Rinse Cycle, Need To Snake That Drain Out. If You Have To Remove Toilet And Power Snake From There Or Run The Snake Down The Washer Drain. I Don't See How The Dirty Toilet Water Could Ever Get Into Your Washer So No Worry There, They Have Their Own Water Supply And Pump & Drain Line Have Backflow Check Valves

You Still Need To Have A Power Auger Or Snake Ran Down Those Lines. The Blockage Will Continue To Get Worse If Left Unaddressed
