First you have to have the thesis statement. What are you trying to motivate your audience to do? Excite them to do homework? Move them to do volunteer work? Decide that then post it.

Make sure you first of all, find a way to capture their attention in the beginning or you will lose them! It is also important to make sure your speech relates to them, children can comprehend things better if it does. And last, make them laugh!

You also need own that speech and be excited giving it. Love your topic or at least be very interested in it and try to exude that excitement to your audience. You will lose your audience otherwise. Look through the following, and then scroll down to "enthusiam". Good luck.
