Hi All,
Thanks so much for the replies regarding my painful breakup!! However, as I was the one to end the relationship because I just couldn’t endure the lying and discovery of the cheating that was going on. With all that said, he is constantly on my mind no matter what I am doing. How do I move through the emotional bond with this guy even though there is no contact whatsoever on my part? He wants to know how I would just walk away with no closure for him.

Screw that guy you tell him nothing he cheated on you and lied. Continue with the NC and take the time to heal yourself because you owe him nothing.

He made his bed...
Of course he's on your mind, but you don't owe him anything. You don't have to be uncivil and hateful, but you don't owe him "closure." I mean, he lied and cheated. That sounds like closure to me. And he knows that. He's just feeling guilty now and is realizing "whoops!" Too late.
When I need to move through an emotional bond, I do what everyone on this forum says to do. Drop communication and focus on myself. Improve yourself. Make yourself a better person, etc. Once you do things like that---and really do stick to that--you will feel much better.

As the previous posters have said you owe him nothing, especially not closure, whatever that means, and as a matter of fact, nip him in the bud and stop taking his calls. Get a life that you enjoy with out him, and learn to find your own happiness.

If u need to move on... DON'T think about the good times you've had... think of the times when he lied and cheated on you and how you disgraceful u felt about the whole thing... one who doesn't respect you for who you are and can't make you feel happy about certain issues, then he doesn't deserve you... infact u deserve someone better... Think about it and it will be easier to move on...
