Can someone please help? My drain is stuck. It's twist up drain. I have had to use a piece of metal to keep it out open so the water can drain. Any ideas on how to fix?

We need more derails before we can answer. What's a "twist up drain"?
A bathtub stopper? A pop-up drain on a lavatory? Please describe,in detail, what the drain is, what it drains and what it looks like. Thanks, Tom

It is Kolher Lift & Turn Style Bath Drain and it won't turn open, it has to be propped open. Is there any easy route to fixing this?

Are you sure you have the original Kohler stopper in the drain or was it replaced? The Kohler stopper has legs that sit on a ledge ring when you lift and turn. The ledge and legs are hard to break so lets consider the wrong stooper first and then go from there. Follow Speedball1's questions and advice.
