My lab, Jack who is 6/7 was given a distemper vaccination on 4/14/07. Jack's nose has been warm and dry since then. He hasn't been drinking as much water as normal. (I usually fill up his water dish twice a day) lately it has been just once a day. He also has lost interest in eating. He will eat but he doesn't really want to which is really odd because he is the kind of dog that will eat and eat and eat. His last distemper shot was in Sept 03 right after he adopted me but since then I have only done the rabies vaccinations. Could this be a reaction to the vaccination? Thanks!

That is not normal. I would call the vet. It could be a reaction to the shot, or something unrelated. Reactions do happen. Usually a sudden change in appetite is a sign of a problem. How is his weight? Evaluate him following the link in sticky at https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/dogs/information-articles-our-dogs-expert-labman-53153.html#post254171

His weight is good. The vet had him at 98 lbs which is where he needs to be. I don't have a petite lab. The other thing I failed to mention above was he went to the vet to have a deer tick removed. I'll call the vet and see what they say.
