My lawyer said we verbally agreed for temporary custody of my granduaghter to go to her dad. We did not say that, we have been fighting for custody. I want to know will that stand up in a court of law

What stands up is the court order decided by the judge. Next as a grandparent do you have some custody order giving you custody,

No I do not have custody, I am asking for my daughter. They have not been to court and they do not have a temporary custody document. No papers have been signed. The lawyer told us they she said he could have temp custody. She has not said anything to that nature. We have been paying a lawyer trying to get papers done for temporary custody to be given to my daughter. He said that in Iowa you do not need signed papers. I think that is a crcok. We live in the south and he is in Iowa. We have been trying to deal long distance with a lawyer up there, where he filed for divorce. Its driving us crazy.

Who has the children right now?

Who is better capable of taking care of the children? (Emotionally, physically, financially)

Most judges had a hard time allowing a parent to take children out of state to live (against the wishes of the other parent) until a final custody hearing.

Why would your own lawyer say that your daughter agreed to allow her husband to have temporary custody? He's supposed to be on your side, so I have a feeling your daughter may have (perhaps unknowingly) agreed to this.
