Okay I have ran 2 cycle oil in all my chain saws before and I have just ran plain oil in the gas to and I am wondering if there is a type of chart that says the oil conversion for normal oil, not 2 cycle. Normal oil worked just fine in my other chain saw just wondering if there was a chart out there. For the mixing like 10-30 10-40 motor oil worked good but for mixing I just gussed, buy it worked. Thanks

Normally you would use straight 30W to mix with gas. However, special 30W made for 2 cycle mixes contains additives to stablize the gas and to keep the oil from settling. If you mix your own with plain oil don't leave it in the tank for more than a few weeks. Drain it or use it up.

Normal oil will cause heavy deposits and will plug spark arrestor, also old equipment did not spin at today's two stroke RPMs, were not as finely tuned and were far more forgiving.
