In recent years the Chinese have expanded their capacity by constructing a number of air bases on the border . Normally this altitude(13,000 + feet above sea level) and weather conditions would preclude the extensive use of air power .
They will dominate the skies and be able to rapidly surge troops to the region. They are being billed as dual use. But don't kid yourself . There is no commercial reason for the bases.
