Given their natures ,the Trump -Musk feud has devolved into ridiculous personal attacks . Musk has already left the administration as was the plan. But Trump still needs Musk . Together they could achieve great things . But what I suspect will happen is that the GOP will lose the midterm elections in both Houses .Trump's last 2 years will see him again fighting impeachment and the prospect of jail time .

That will be the tragic end to this . What Trump should be doing instead is putting heat on the Repubs in the House who hold the bill hostage for things like the SALT deductions (John Thune is correct in pointing out this is a House problem as there are a handful of GOP blue state Reps who insisted this go in the bill). Basically SALT allows blue states to over tax at the local level and have the Federal Government foot the bill .There is no way this is justified . The GOP has the numbers to pass a fiscally conservative debt reducing budget if they would get some testicular fortitude.

The only thing that separates us from world wide censorship is Musk's X . The EU is threatening to basically confiscate his wealth over violating their speech standards .

In ' Atlas Shrugged ' Ayn Rand theorized about a time when innovators and the titans of the economy who refuses to comply with the deep state just walked away . We are close to that now . Show me the other person with the means to stand up to them ? Trump ? He was pummeled for defying them and only with Musk's help avoided horizontal pin stripes .
