I will post Kam the Sham's statement from October 22 in it's entirety .
All Americans should be able to access the health care they need – no matter their income. That is why our Administration fought to lower health care costs with the Inflation Reduction Act, legislation that I was proud to cast the tie-breaking vote on in the Senate. During the first half of this year alone, we now know that nearly 1.5 million people with Medicare have already saved nearly $1 billion because of our law’s cap on out-of-pocket prescription drug costs.
Additionally, we have been able to cut prescription drug costs, cap the cost of insulin at $35 a month for seniors, and lower premiums for those on Medicare. Our Administration has also reached unprecedented agreements with pharmaceutical companies to lower prices for the first 10 drugs selected for the Medicare price negotiation program – ten of the most widely used and expensive drugs that treat conditions ranging from cancer to diabetes. And there is still much more to come.
I have seen the impact of fighting to protect patients up close. As Attorney General, I held Big Pharma accountable for their deceptive and illegal practices – winning settlements that amounted to more than $7 billion against pharmaceutical companies for their unsafe and unfair tactics. I will never stop fighting for the health, wellbeing, and financial stability of the American people.
Statement by Vice President Kamala Harris on Americans Saving Nearly $1 Billion on Prescription Drugs Thanks to the Inflation Reduction Act | The White House (https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/statements-releases/2024/10/22/statement-by-vice-president-kamala-harris-on-americans-saving-nearly-1-billion-on-prescription-drugs-thanks-to-the-inflation-reduction-act/)
Oh I'm sure there is more to come. These morons think that with the stoke of a pen ;a Mary Poppins snap of a finger or some other such wishful thinking that these things happen . It's just like you know ....keeping the monopoly money printing presses going .
But in truth these things don't happen in a vacuum .I don't know if this was intentional or unintended consequences .
Since the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act in 2022, which promised financial relief for millions of people with Medicare by expanding benefits, lowering drug costs, and strengthening Medicare for future seniors, prescription drug costs instead have risen nationally by 31%, leaving seniors with new expenses and fewer options. Those costs will rise again under the new Plan B premiums.
With less than a week until the 2024 presidential election, these higher Medicare monthly drug premiums will be seen in 45 of 50 states, including those considered battleground states. More than 67 million Americans rely on Medicare for their health care.

I just got mine and my wife's new premiums . We are looking at a 60% increase in our premiums throughout the year .
I shopped around in our area and see that all providers are at about the same premium fees . Both of us are mostly holistic . So most of what we take for health care is not covered under any plan . We don't use insulin .I don't need lactation therapy or transformer hormones.
Funds I budgeted for other expenses will now have to be used for my Medicare drug premiums .
Normally this info is given in July . But they were scared sh-tless to release it . They waited until this week to spring it on us reducing the time we have to shop around
MOST Medicare subscribers purchase broad based plans NOT subject to the 6% cap on increases . AND many insurers are indicating they may drop plan D coverage completely . Then what ?
What isn’t clear is whether this is a one-year patch to delay premium increases until 2026 or something else.
Medicare beneficiaries should be prepared for significant changes in Part D policies in the next few years. As insurers adjust to the new rules and CMS changes its policies, there could be a lot of volatility in premiums, copayments, deductibles, and the medications covered.

Don't worry I'm sure the progressives have a back up plan .</sarc>
It's almost like it was planned this way.
