Of all the names floated as his possible pick for a running mate. One stands out as the one doing the leg work for the Trump campaign.Since the beginning of March he has either been with Trump at events or has crisscrossed the country speaking on Trump's behalf.
My guess is that North Dakota Guv Doug Burgum will be the pick
This week he is scheduled to be in key states Wisconsin and Michigan .
He has had events in Florida ;Nevada ;Virginia ;New Hampshire .He was there at Trump's big rally in Wildwood NJ . He made stops in Minnesota ;Vermont and North Carolina . He was with Trump at California campaign events then went to Nevada.
Tim Scott and JD Vance are the favorites . But Bergum stands out as someone who could be attractive to moderates. Since Nikki all but burned her bridge to Trump;and most of the rest of the names floated appeal mostly to the conservative wing exclusively .
Burgum is not lacking for experience as both an 8 year Guv ;but also a very successful businessman. He is young enough to serve as VP and then run again for Pres in 2028 .
I say this is a not so bold prediction because the NY Post has taken notice.
Doug Burgum's Trump's best VP pick, but Marco Rubio's strong, too (nypost.com) (https://nypost.com/2024/06/17/opinion/doug-burgums-trumps-best-vp-pick-but-marco-rubios-strong-too/)
