In the 40 months since Jan. 6, 2021, more than 1,424 individuals have been charged in nearly all 50 states for crimes related to the breach of the U.S. Capitol, including more than 500 individuals charged with assaulting or impeding law enforcement, a felony. The investigation remains ongoing.

2,000 charged is the stated goal of Matthew Graves, the U.S. attorney for the DC before the statute of limitations expires on January 6,2026.

While other major cities saw a drop in violent crimes, the nation’s capital suffered a 39% increase last year.

In lieu of charging criminals in DC where crime is out of control ;he spends a lot of time going after politicals in a one sided partisan pursuit. He convicted Steve Bannon but refused to charge Hunter Biden

Nothing political about it . Just ask AG Garland .

“As I stated during my confirmation hearing, political or other improper considerations must play no role in any investigative or prosecutorial decisions. These principles that have long been held as sacrosanct by the DOJ career workforce will be vigorously guarded on my watch, and any failure to live up to them will be met with strict accountability. In other words if you are protested the election results or are an abortion protester you are SOL . But protest against Israel defending itself , you get a pass .

Graves resigned . His record is jailing hundreds of January 6 protesters ......failing to indict Hunter Biden and rampant crime in DC.

His office posted a gushing tribute to him .

On January 6, 2021, a violent mob of several thousand individuals stormed the Capitol and the United States briefly lost control of the grounds around the Capitol and much of the Capitol, itself. More than 140 law enforcement officers were injured during the siege of the Capitol, making it the largest single-day mass assault of law enforcement officers in our nation’s history. These events triggered the largest investigation in DOJ history. To date, roughly 1,600 (https://substack.com/redirect/ec97087f-e286-46ce-9556-be8c579068cd?j=eyJ1IjoiMWV0Y29iIn0.nroxoFSmrO8Ercw 5ZonmUf3udKNsBsAQnQSV30l0J2s) people have been charged in connection with the attack with almost 1,100 having already been sentenced for their conduct. There have been over 170 contested trials with the United States prevailing in more than 99% of them. These convictions include the first seditious conspiracy convictions since the trials stemming from the first bombing of the World Trade Center in the 1990s. Because politically motivated violence and destruction rip at the fabric of our society, Mr. Graves made federally prosecuting such crimes a priority.

....rip the fabric of society..... As much as weaponizing the Justice Dept to prosecute political opponents ??? destroying innocent lives in the process ???

Recall that SCOTUS smacked down many of the convicitions in the Fisher v US ruling

This came too late for defendants Matthew Perna, Mark Aungst, and Nord Meacham who committed suicide because of the charges.

While he was jailing Jan 6 protesters he was settling with BLM protesters

Graves of course has close political ties to the administration .He served as a domestic policy adviser to Joe's campaign in 202 before being appointed prosecutor . After he was confirmed he immediately went to work going after Trump associates . He nailed Steve Bannon 2 weeks later on recommendation from Madam Mim Pelosi. He similarly took down Peter Navarro.

And the ties extend to his wife Fatima Goss Graves . She is president and CEO of the National Women’s Law Center (NWLC)

She is a frequent visitor to the White House and particularly close to Kam the Sham. Meena Harris, Kam's niece, is an NWLC board member.

Spikes in donations to NWLC happened after Graves was confirmed at District Attorney to DC.
Fatima Goss Grave's primary function there is to attack and delegitimize SCOTUS . She was front and center in the protests against Kavanaugh's confirmation

a violent mob of several thousand individuals stormed the Capitol I guess the violence of the mob accounts for the many deaths and injuries. No...wait.
