Of course it is -- its homework and due tomorrow. What are your thoughts on it? Your teacher does not want my thoughts --just yours. -- Savage

Urgent? Does this mean late homework?
The President has the ultimate power - as he, or she, can veto legislation. Of course the Congress can unite and over ride a veto. It has happened. But in theory, the President is where the bucks stops. Now, you ought to have known that by reading a simple Civics chapter.

Well, I think congress has more power. But the president can easily go around them. Geraldo

Aren't the 3 branches supposed to balance each other out? Therefore there is not one that is "more powerful."

Congress and the president have been fighting for supremacy for over a hundred years. Sometimes congress dominates and sometimes the president does. The judiciary acts as the referee.

Presidents can go over the head of Congress in an attempt to get the public to pressure Congress to pass the legislation the President wants.

If you do a Google search for these three words for a start in a search: president congress power, then you will likely find answers to your questions (and, learn something by doing so) that you can then be able to give yourself credit for finding.
