View Full Version : Dems prep to oust Clueless Joe .

The compliant press must've received their marching orders. Chief WH correspondent for the Slimes Peter Baker had a report yesterday that raises concern about Clueless' age.

At 79, Biden Is Testing the Boundaries of Age and the Presidency - The New York Times (nytimes.com) (https://www.nytimes.com/2022/07/09/us/politics/biden-age-democrats.html)

It highlights that he was originally going to go to the ME directly from his recent Europe junket ; one 'anonymous official' calling it "crazy". The official made up a reason for separating the two trips ."But the reality is that managing the schedule of the oldest president in American history presents distinct challenges," ...."And as Mr. Biden insists he plans to run for a second term, his age has increasingly become an uncomfortable issue for him, his team and his party."

While on the European trip Baker notes that Clueless needed guidance from Olaf Scholz of Germany to look at the cameras for a photo-op and how Boris Johnson answered a question because Clueless didn't hear a reporter shouting a question about Ukraine.
"At times, Mr. Biden kept a packed schedule. On the day he flew to Madrid for a NATO summit, he met with multiple leaders and finished with a dinner hosted by King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain. On another day, though, he skipped evening festivities with other leaders, and his public schedule finished with a 3:30 p.m. event."

Baker notes that Clueless is already a year older than President Reagan was his final year in office .But Clueless keeps on insisting he will run again in 2024.His "admirers" still question his ability to lead for another six years.

The White House team does their best to guard and control him (as did his campaign team in 2020) ."He often shuffles when he walks, and aides worry he will trip on a wire. He stumbles over words during public events, and they hold their breath to see if he makes it to the end without a gaffe," ..... privately they try to guard Mr. Biden’s weekends in Delaware as much as possible. He is generally a five- or five-and-a-half-day-a-week president..... He stays out of public view at night and has taken part in fewer than half as many news conferences or interviews as recent predecessors."
They are sensitive to the attention he gets when he does things like falling off his bicycle recently .
Joe Biden falls off bike while cycling in Delaware - YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dSm7bjGjEwM)

David Gergen, a former White House adviser for four presidents and a TV talking head for the compliant press who turned 80 in May said he feels it's "inappropriate" to seek the presidency beyond 80 years old because "you’re not quite as sharp as you once were."
"Longevity specialist" S. Jay Olshansky of the University of Illinois Chicago said "the "right question" is whether the president's mental fitness will reach to 86, the age he'd be at the end of a second term. "Things go wrong as we get older and the risks rise the older we get."

Things are going very wrong already regardless of his mental fitness . He has always been a mental midget .

Baker notes "His speeches can be flat and listless. He sometimes loses his train of thought, has trouble summoning names or appears momentarily confused. More than once, he has promoted Vice President Kamala Harris, calling her ‘President Harris."

He pointed to the more frequently occurring moments the WH had to walk back Clueless comments like when he vowed that the U.S. would militarily respond if China invaded Taiwan and when he said that Putin cannot remain in power .

Biden needs to better plan his appearances and speeches -- both less frequent and shorter.

Guess how old Trump will be if he wins the presidency in 2024 (he'll be 78), then add two years to that to match where Biden is now (he'll be 80).

Do we want another aged president?

I don't want either . However I can live with a President who practices Trumpism .

At least JB is doing what he can to pump up his image.

Four Norman Rockwell works featured in the White House have been taken down and replaced with photos of President Joe Biden, according to Politico.

Politico first reported the paintings were taken down on Tuesday, writing two individuals familiar with the matter said members of the Rockwell family had requested the art be returned to them. Their request was granted last year. A person familiar with the matter said the paintings had been replaced with "several jumbo photos of Biden."

CNN joins the ever growing chorus .

The age question is catching up to Joe Biden - CNNPolitics (https://www.cnn.com/2022/07/11/politics/joe-biden-age-democrats/index.html)

And young Dems ,want him gone ..

Among the youngest voters (ages 18-29) in that group, a critical part of the party's coalition, just 5% -- not a typo -- want the party to renominate Biden.

No doubt they prefer Bolshevik Bernie a younger octogenerian .

Long time Clintonoid apparatchik Robert Reich has an op-ed arguing that Clueless is too old to run again. It is mostly about himself and his decline ;but he concluded it with .....
Santayana said old people have forebodings about the future because they cannot imagine a world that’s good without themselves in it. I don’t share that view. To the contrary, I think my generation — including Bill and Hillary, George W, Trump (huh?) , Newt Gingrich, Clarence Thomas, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, and Biden – have ed it up royally. The world will probably be better without us.
Joe, please don’t run.
As a 76-year-old let me say: Joe Biden is too old to run again | Robert Reich | The Guardian (https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2022/jul/17/as-a-76-year-old-let-me-say-joe-biden-is-too-old-to-run-again)

I generally tend to agree with his assessment of us boomer geezers .We have mucked things up pretty badly ........especially his Dem crowd . More and more Dems are lining up to assist throwing Clueless off the bus.

That is hilarious.

Howie Carr has an op-ed documenting some of Clueless Joe's more recent verbal challenges .

Howie Carr: Enduring Biden’s corruption and incompetence (msn.com) (https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/howie-carr-enduring-biden-s-corruption-and-incompetence/ar-AAZEkyx?cvid=5f0315bc58e843d696beae6a7769b5fb)

Then again the Dems have next generation losers waiting in the wings ..... like Gavin Newsom who would bring his mismanagement of California national .

Gavin Newsom's Weird Idea of 'Freedom' | RealClearPolitics (https://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2022/07/14/gavin_newsoms_weird_idea_of_freedom_147886.html)

He has some strength due to surviving recall (The Repubs messed that up badly ) . But he has a "do as I say " problem. Just ask Boris Johnson how that goes .

Illinois Governor JB Pritzker is an option But Illinois is as badly managed as California,

Colorado Governor Jared Polis is an Ivy Leaguer and wealthy having actually owned and successfully run businesses . His worth is $400 million . He is a lib who fools people into thinking he is libertarian (important for Colorado politics ). On the plus side he did not go nuts with covid lock downs letting local government to decide the rules . He is for school choice and no state income taxes.
He also can check those woke boxes . He is gay but keeps it to himself and doesn't broadcast it like mayor Pete.
Keep an eye on him when the Dems finally oust Clueless from the ticket .

On a list of qualities found to be appealing to dem voters, being black, female, gay, or TG ranks high. Being competent?? Not so much.

tomder55
Jul 18, 2022, 05:18 AM
Polis may or may not check off one of those boxes . That is because although he would be the 1st openly gay Pres ;he would not be the 1st .

That distinction almost assuredly goes to James Buchannan.(hard to prove because he directed his papers be destroyed ) He was engaged a couple of times in what would've been marriages of convenience .

But it appears his true love was William Rufus King, an Alabama senator and Franklin Pierce’s Vice President. This was very much an open secret . Buchanan and King lived together and were openly close with each other. They were called "Miss Nancy” and “Aunt Fancy”by their peers . King was called Buchannan's better half .

When King was sent to France as ambassador Buchannan lamented in a letter :

“Now solitary and alone, having no companion in the house with me. I have gone a wooing to several gentlemen, but have not succeeded with any one of them. I feel that it is not good for man to be alone; and should not be astonished to find myself married to some old maid who can nurse me when I am sick provide good dinners for me when I am well, and not expect from me any very ardent or romantic affection.”
Opinion | America has already had a gay president - The Washington Post (https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/pete-buttigieg-wouldnt-be-americas-first-gay-president/2019/03/26/0b7b1eb4-41de-11e9-922c-64d6b7840b82_story.html)

Buchanan was NOT arguably the worse President in American history . He passively did nothing as the South seceded .

As some day it may happen that a victim must be found
I've got a little list — I've got a little list
Of society offenders who might well be underground
And who never would be missed — who never would be missed!

[Gilbert and Sullivan 'Mikado' ]

with a new stanza for today's audience.

The politicians who promote all policies insane,
Whose speeches amply demonstrate they haven't got a brain,These villains may Democrats, or from the GOP,
I'll let you choose the side with which you choose to disagree,
For it really doesn't matter which ones you put on the list,
For they'd none of them be missed - they'd none of them be missed!

Consider this . Jimmy Carter was despised by both Dems and Repubs by 1979 . He faced a challenge by the "saintly " swimmer Ted Kennedy . To the Kennedys and the Dems ,a Kennedy Presidency was a birthright . JFK would've easily won had he not been assassinated . RFK would've easily won in 1968 if not for the assassins bullet . Even with Chappaquiddick Teddy mounted a challenge to Carter that rocked the Dem convention . But the weakened and terribly misfit President still won the Dem nomination.

So don't write off Clueless Joe so easily . The list of Dem losers is growing Kam the Sham ? Gavin Newsome ? il duce Cuomo ? Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer? Maybe . Sandinista Bill ? lol Mayor Pete ? The Blond Hair Blue eyed 1/64 percent native American Senator ? The fellow geezer Bolshevik Bernie ?

Carter entered the 1980 race as the most unpopular President ever . And yet the Dems still made him the standard bearer . It is going to be difficult to unhitch that wagon.

That guy who's too often been majorly dissed?
Once he leaves us, he'll never be missed!
And boy oh boy that will make him so pissed!
He wanted to be gratefully loved, hugged, and kissed --
So angry he'll be, he'll punch walls with his fist
But will never again make the candidate list.

He'll wanted to beHuh??

A guy once set records with the economy
and kept Putin within his borders with glee
His southern wall if finished would be met with "Whoopee!"
He kept China at bay with his great import fees
He could speak 400 words with no hint of mistake
And word salads were not to be found on his plate
Biden's great work which he did with such grace
Was to make us recall the greatness of Trump's days.

Use of "pissed" is kind of crude.
It rhymed and I've seen it used here on this board so I went wild.

E.g., tomder, July 28, 2021: "After Hoover's death the FBI was turned over by Nixon to L Patrick Gray . But that pissed off the #2 guy in the agency ;Mark Felt."

yes that pissed off Felt so he pissed on Nixon's presidency. If you are an Aussie the word means drunk or universally it means angry. In old English' piss a bed 'was a dandelion . Dandelions are diuretics . Back in the days of Chaucer it was a perfectly acceptable word to use.

More and more people are being suckered into getting EVs . But what happens when these cars get old and need replacement parts like oh maybe a battery ?

Florida family: Car battery replacement pricier than electric car | wtsp.com (https://www.wtsp.com/article/news/local/electric-car-battery-replacement-costs-more-than-car/67-46243c70-124b-43e9-9a6e-fca01dc40cc4)

Avery Siwinski who is 17 years old was excited to get a car to drive herself to and from school. Her parents spent $11,000 on a used electric car for her. It's a Ford Focus Electric. The car is a 2014 model, with 60,000 miles.

"It was fine at first," Avery Siwinski said. "I loved it so much. It was small and quiet and cute. And all the sudden it stopped working."

Avery Siwinski had her car for six months before her dashboard started to light up with problematic symbols.

"In March, it started giving an alert," she said. "And then we took it to the shop and it stopped running."...................

"The Ford dealership had advised us that we could replace the battery," he said. "It would only cost $14,000."

$3,000 more than what the family bought the car for. And that quote didn't include installation and labor costs,

Well worth watching. As it turns out, when you factor in the carbon emissions produced in the manufacturing of EVs, they don't have the advantage one might think.

He misses an important point. Mining the rare earth minerals that are used in renewable technology has enormous environmental impacts . Even getting a small amt of them requires vast areas of excavation and processing with heavy equipment .

The mining also extracts large volumes of toxic and radioactive material, due to the co-extraction of thorium and uranium; radioactive metals that are found in areas where rare earth metals are located .
The waste itself is toxic
https://ecojungle.net/post/lithium-extraction-environmental-impact/mining-wastes.jpg

Also recycling the metals used in batteries is a process that is not clean. It requires the use of corrosive chemicals and also high temperatures.

The guy was talking about replacing a billion internal combustion vehicles . More realistic is 125 million EVs by 2030. The demand for minerals like lithium will only increase . The next wave of environmentalism will be to manufacture clean batteries that don't leave a footprint .

Good luck with that . Bottom line is that unless we go back to being foot traveling hunter gatherers then we will leave an impact on the earth's environment .
