I have a 1998 Ford Mustang Cobra. I have put a new starter, Alt, battery, battery cables, safety neutral switch on clutch and clutch. It also has had a tune up! I am still having trouble starting it. It starts sometimes and doesn't start others. I have had it towed twice to mech and then it starts right up after getting off truck. It just was down for two weeks and now it started again. It didin't start for 2 more weeks and then someone told me that the sfaety neutral switch on clutch had to be adjusted so I pulled up on clutch to adjust it and then it started. It ran for 3 days! Now same thing! Does anybody have any ideas? I am going crazy!

I had a 97 Mustang and it acted like that for awhile. It ended up being something with a computer chip. Also, I had a similar thing with my 93 Ford Aerostar van and it was a module as well. Replaced the module and no problems for the past 3 years.
Don't know if it fits, but it's an idea. I know how frustrating it is!
Good luck!

It either cranks and starts or it is completely dead. If it starts it runs for a few days and then after sitting there is nothing. It never shuts off when driving and there is never a check engine light on. It doesn't make any noise or anything. If I tow it and take off flatbead, it is a 50/50 chance it fires right up. It makes me believe that there is a wire loose somewhere but I don't know!

That's really weird, I have two mustangs, I just bought a 89' mustang gt to fix up and found a short in the wires that would kill the battery, maybe your starter is bad?
