I smoke cigarettes, and marijuana, and I was just wondering how a person might go about cleaning out their system. Always tired, and no energy, not normal for me. Any help would be great. Thankx

Not to sound like a smarta*s or anything, but you could just stop smoking them. There are no physical addictions with marijuana, it's just a mental addiction, although there have been arguments against that. Stop buying cigarettes. Anytime you crave a cigarette get some hard candy or gum. Or get on nicorette. Try to stay motivated. When you start getting real bad cravings head over to the gym and work out that way your mind is off it.

You might want to try this brand it's called Cigarest. I've heard it works.
If you don't want to quit, think about cutting back a little.
The lack of energy is not from cigarettes, it could be your job or something else that is taking your energy away. I used to have a stressful job and that used to drain me, so I can relate to how you feel.

Well I would definitely say try to stop doing both of them compeltely. If you are having problems quitting smoking cigs then medication might be the best way to go. If the gums and the patch are not working for you and you find yourself going back to smoking then try the medicine. Go to your doctor and speak to him/her about Chantex. It is having really good results with smokers. In regards to the other substance you are smoking try and cut that out completely. This could be a reason for your tiredness.

At the same time there could be other reasons for you being tired which could incudle: stress, not getting enough sleep at night, and not eating right. Have your tried exercising as this does provide the body with energy. Of course if you aren't a person who exercises don't expect to see the results in one day. It will typically take about 2 weeks to see if exercising will aide in boosting your energy flow.

I'm a truck driver, so quitting cold turkey isn't the easiest way, so I think I'll try to cut back somewhat first, currently I'm @ about a pack a day, and if I can get that down to about half to a quarter for now that would be good for now. Do you believe in these pills that are suppose to make you feel ill every time you have a smoke (I forget the names)? I've heard of them but never tried. You know of any side-affects nicorette or any of these quit-smoking gimmics? Not a real big fan of taking pills, rather try to get over things naturally.

Naturally is always better and safer. After all all medications do have some side affects.
Really it's all about will power, if you have strong will power then you can easily quit.
At least cutting down is half way there...

I will definitely say that going the natural way is of course always the better way. Unfortunately when it comes to quitting smoking its not always the easiest (I speak from experience). Try gum or lollipops when you get the craving to smoke. Unfortunately will power is something deep down inside that everyone has the ability to carry it out is sometimes difficult. In regards to the nicorrete gum I have not heard of any side affects. In regards to the patch people have said that if they wear it at night they experience very bad dreams/nightmares. Also know that while on the patch you can not smoke as it could cause major health problems.

In regards to the medicine (pills), zyban was the first pill I believe that was mass marketed as a quit smoking agent. It was actually being used to treat certain types of psychiatric disorders and what they found was that their patients began to stop smoking. From that came wellbutrin which was doing the same thing and now that most current one I know of is Chantex. Side effects that I have heard people complain on while on these medicines were nausea, feeling hyper inside but calm on the outside, upset stomach, and on occasion dizziness.

There are obvious risks associated with taking any medications and the best advice I can give you at this time would be to speak with your doctor, as he/she will be able to medically advise you in the best way. Your doctors know more about your medical history than any of us so they are really the ones who you need to talk to. And smoking cessation groups have also been found to help as well. There are options out there for you. Good luck and hope this has helped you.

Each time you crave a cigarette try having some hard candy like suckers, jolly ranchers, or even try regular gum.

It's the weed.It makes you lazy and tired.The feeling is great,but it will make you a hermit.Try b-12,it will help a little.

Good call pompano.. I was starting to think I was crazy for a minute. Everyone's talking about the cigarettes... they are more harmful to your body but if it's the lack of energy that is your current problem... it's the weed, man!

First, when you are stoned, obviously your energy will go down. But it doesn't stop there. The side-effects of withdraw from marijuana last over a month. It takes that long to get out of your system and you will be feeling its effects until it is completely out of your system.

Just to clarify some information about medication on quitting smoking. I am a nurse, and quite famliar with a few of the medications mentioned. First Zyban is wellbutrin, the difference between the two is this: As a antidepressant it is prescribed to be taken 3 times daily, as a quit smoking agent its at 2 times daily... You are right on how they realized it as a quit smokign aid. Now as for chantex, or champix depending on US or canada... this medication is similar to that is prescibed to alcoholics... to basically have nausea, and vomitting if havigna smoke or shortly there after. However, there are some major side effects associated with the med. First user can have vivid dreams, and I am not talking those weird nightmares or anything, these are easily remembered unlike normal dreams, also this med can cause physiatric problems, acute delirium, and homicidial thoughts or intentions... this product was market in many countries after its release... however many countries are taking this off the market due to the fact is has been linked to several homicides... including 4 in australia inw hich the user was on the medication and in a mass rage killed 4 people... after performign some pyhsc exams its was determined the prescribe meds cause him to fall into this acute dilerium and cause him to become uncontrolably enraged. Anyway enough with my history lesson. The point is you most be careful when taking these meds,, meds alone can not stop you from smoking... biggest idea with this med or even alone is get out of your routine!! If you smoke while driving to work... walk or take the transit system instead, if you smoke after meals, try something else after your lunch or supper... Don't cut all your routines out right away. What I did was take out your after meals smokes first, then try takingout smoking in the car one way (either to or from work) then work on not smoking at work and finally you should be able to stop smoking all together. I also used peppermints... when through them like bulk..! LOL every time I had a urge I just threw one in my mouth and went on my way! Hope this info might help someone out.

My uncle takes this pill he got from his doctor and like if he smokes he pukes after and it seems to keep him away from smoking LOL
