Yup - WORST since 1946!!!!!!!!!!!!! Growth was NEGATIVE - down 3.6%!!!

You Trumpsters gave him credit for the economy his first three years. Only fair you give him blame for the 4th and FINAL year.

In other news, McCarthy and the Repubs now approve QANON -

QANON follower nutcase Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Green from Georgia:

-denies 911 happened saying no plane hit the pentagon,
-called the killing of young children in Newtown a "false flag"
-likewise the killing of teenagers in Parkland Florida,
-called for Speaker Pelosi getting "a bullet in the head",
-claimed the Las Vegas shooting killing 58 was orchestrated by the Dems as an attack on the 2nd Amendment.

Green supports every bizarre conspiracy theory coming from QANON and now sits in the United States House of Representatives for the state of Georgia. Can you believe it?

US leaders are calling fro Green to be expelled from Congress. Let's see what the Repubs do.

So far in a move phenomenal even for them, they have assigned this weirdo to the Education Committee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just the right person to advocate for children.

Let's try an unbiased look.

Your figure of negative growth was for ONE year, 2020. The preceding three years were 3.2, 2.2, and 3.2 percent. By contrast, Obama had twice the opportunities in years and never got to 3%. Unemployment figures were at record lows in 2019. Troop levels in Iraq were cut in half, and troop levels in Afghanistan were cut by 75%. Americans living in poverty fell by 6 million prior to 2020. Median household income increased by an incredible 12K a year through 2020.

In case anyone needs reminding, 2020 was the year of Covid. By way of comparison, Europe's GDP growth was a negative 12% for 2020. I suppose, of course, that Trump is to blame for that as well?

I am no great fan of Trump, but fair is fair. We'll see what Mr. Biden can do. He is not off to a great start by destroying 11K jobs on day one, most of them paying 100 to 200K a year.

I'll make the case that while covid was a tragic disaster that threw everybody for a huge loop around the world, it exposed our own weaknesses and deficiencies on top of the worse management, and incompetence in my memory. I mean anybody can take credit and cruise along when things were pretty much doing great and improving when you got there, but when bad stuff happens is where the rubber meets the road. I think America recognizes that and have taken things out of repub hands the last 4 years.

Dems always seem to come in after repubs have made a mess of things and repubs are hollering foul. That's no coincidence or conspiracy, just history repeating itself.

Speaking of il duce Cuomo :

NY AG Letitia James ' report on covid nursing home deaths shows that the death rate was much higher than we were led to believe .Data provided to the attorney general's office from 62 nursing homes "shows a significantly higher number of resident COVID-19 deaths can be identified than is reflected" in the official count." As the pandemic and our investigations continue, it is imperative that we understand why the residents of nursing homes in New York unnecessarily suffered at such an alarming rate,"

I totally get why people are opposed to pipelines. This irresponsible pipeline company came into this community and booked a bunch of hotel rooms for months, ate all their meals at local restaurants, bought fuel and supplies in town, and not only that, they salvaged the timber and turned what was once unproductive bush land into a productive pasture with new fences for this landowner ... the nerve !! don't fight yesterday's battlesThe area of energy is very much today's battle. The Canadians will sell their oil to someone else who will use it and generate carbon emissions, so from an environment point of view it's a big nothing. Additionally, we still import much of the oil, but it has to be done by rail which has more problems associated with transport than pipelines, so it's just a sacrificial lamb for the environmental whackos like AOC. We are energy independent for the first time in decades. We dare not give that up by behaving stupidly and giving up a reliable source of crude oil.

See what I mean? Never mind we import more of the Canadian crude now than we ever have and that's without the one leg of the pipeline.

The pipeline brings jobs to construction workers .It brings jobs to refinery workers . We will import some of the oil and sell it and ship it to places like New England where the idiots will not permit pipelines . It will also be exported to the European market .

I don't know if you have noticed it yet . But prices of oil and gas have risen lately and is on an upward trajectory . Shouldn't surprise you that an administration hostile to energy would cause the prices to rise .
The emperor promised in 2008 that energy prices would skyrocket because of his environmental polices . Quid is an emperor clone .

Tom, you can't talk jobs to liberal dems. They have such a cavalier attitude about it all. "Oh well, if you can't find a job, then no worry. We can use borrowed money to support you with welfare at just above the poverty level, or we'll encourage you to work at restoring an old open pit mine somewhere in the middle of nowhere." It's just incredible to see the non-thinking approach these people have.

The day is coming when borrowing money to fund the federal budget is going to be a non-option. When the day comes that liberal dems have to tell the voters, the ones who they thought they had purchased with decades of give-away programs and endless platitudes about ending poverty, that the gravy train has come to a screeching halt, then we are going to see unrest such as we've not seen before. People who have been trained to not work and do as they please will not take that news happily.

Exactly correct. It's the reason Woolworth's and J.C. Penny's are no longer around. Others found better and more efficient ways of doing business, and they were left behind. The result is lower prices. The opportunity to take a better idea and make it work, with minimal government interference, has been part of the American dream. Now? We'll see.
