In the last couple days I'm smelling something in my livingroom it smells like oil or a grease smell. Like you would smell in a auto repair shop? It started real faint in the room now its getting stronger.only on the 2nd floor I have a 2nd an 3rd apartment I thought it was coming from the heat ducks? Do you have a oil fired furnace? You could have a bad heat exchanger in the furnace or you may have a oil leak near the furnace and the smell is traveling up through the ducts from the furnace. You should call a service technician to have it checked. You could have a serious and dangerous problem.
