Hi,

I've just bought a external dvd writer and it will play things fine but if I put a blank dvd in it it says that the drive is not accessible incorrect function.

Any advice would be appreacated

Which software are you using to burn dvds?

It didn't come with any so I tried a couple I downloaded but they seem to take as long to convert the files than it would to watch them.
What software is best?

Its odd that it came with no software. I use nero 7 ultra [at over 40$] but nero 6 is a lot cheaper

Your DVD writer came without a software? TheSavage is right, Nero is good.

My DVD Burner is suddenly rejecting some blank dvd's with error message "illegal disc".
My burner is DVD_RW ND-3500AG. Some discs work fine but I have Sony DVD-R (75 of them) that keep getting rejected. Go Figure!

I hope you have set your dvd to a region and the sony dvd you got where you out of the region which have set in to work .


Solution out the region panel of the dvd drive with nero 7 software an set I to (none).


note : Be careful not to misuse this not more then 5 times because it may lock your dvd to that last region you have set an no father change is possible even if you re-install your operating system
