I have A kenmore elite dryer that needs a new heating element. I got the part, but where is it located in the dryer, the back is spot welded shut?

Place it on it's side or front, you should see that the bottom is just open space. Whether I am correct depends on your spefic model, so if it's not accessible from the bottom, I don't know. Try going to Sears. Com, click on parts, put in the model number that shoud be on or near the door or near the door on the front.

In 37 years of servicing dryers, I have NEVER seen a dryer that you service from the BOTTOM!:eek:
