Hello,

I'm having an issue where I have great cold water pressure in my shower, and low hot water pressure. This is the shower in the basement and has only been used a 1/2 dozen times...

Thanks for any assistance!

I suspect your mixing valve is plugging up on the hot side. Shut off your main, remove the handle and the bezel. Depending on your valve you should see a hex shaped ring that can be unscrewed. You should be able to remove the body of the valve or cartridge. Inspect it for crud and blow it out with air. Have a friend turn you main on and immediately off with you holding a towel over the opening. This will clear more junk from the line.

Before you disassemble the valve, what kind is it? What brand? One handle? 2 handle? Many single handle faucets have a hot limit device that you can simply adjust.
