This morning I woke up and I felt a great deal of irritation in my throat from coughing a lot. My throat isn't sore, but I feel some irritation in my throat when I cough. I gargled a little warm salt water and it seemed to help a little. I'm going to pick up some cough drops and see if that doesn't work. Any other suggestions?

Try a tablespoon of fresh lemon juice, 1teaspoon of honey(local honey is best), and just a tad of water. Mix well and drink immediately 3 to 4 times a day. Maybe it will work, it helped with my kids. I'm on a honey kick right now.

Oh sorry I forgot to add that Ibuprofen works really well for sore throat and irritations. And I think Celestial Seasonings has a tea for throat irritation. You should be able to purchase that at the grocery store.
