I test positive for my hair follicle test and my quantitative level was 16.6 for methamphetamines. What does that mean?? Is that a lot?? I have no idea how to read these tests. It was from Nationwide Testing Association. Thank you for your help!

Hey Whitwhit222, most hair drug test are reported in picograms per milligrams (pg/mg). A picograms is one trillionth of a gram. In other words a very small amount. Usually the cutoff level for methamphetamine in a hair drug test is 500 pg/mg. Anything under 499pg/mg would reported as "negative". I don't know why any lab would test down to 16.6. Are you sure you took a hair drug test and not a urine drug test which is reported on nanograms per milliliter ng/mL??
